meet millie
Welcome! Iām Millie. I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Nebraska.
Who I work with
I work with people who feel like they are "stuck" in old patterns, despite awareness of where these patterns stem from. This could look like feelings of anxiety, depressive episodes, interpersonal challenges, (family, intimate relationships, friends etc.) negative ways of relating to yourself, and lacking self-confidence or self-compassion.
If you have spent years in therapy and feel like something vital is still missing and you are eager to explore your true self more deeply, I would be honored to help you gain a sense of agency, self-acceptance and peace in your mind and body. Maybe you're aware (to a fault) of patterns like shame and self-doubt but you are struggling to create lasting change. If you believe in living a more fulfilling life with greater presence and trust, but you're unsure how to achieve it, I could be a good fit for you.
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe that each person has an intuitive wise Self that provides balance and guidance to their life. Sometimes things happen to us that cause us to lose touch with this intuition, which can look like a life guided by anxiety, fear, or external validation. In therapy, we create the right conditions so that all parts of you can get to know that intuitive Self and trust its intentions. My approach is to help you turn toward your symptoms, not away, and to develop a deep understanding of what they are doing for you.
